MEISNER, Janine

Janine grew up in the Philippines as a daughter of missionary teachers, Paul and Alice Meisner. She returned to Manitoba with her family for her final two years of high school and university. There she gained three years of teaching experience before joining Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Janine’s experiences as a third culture kid (TCK) led her to move back to the Philippines in 2001. She had various roles at Faith International Academy in Davao City over the years, including teaching students in elementary (grades 3 & 5) and middle school (grades 6-8). She enjoyed being a part of the leadership team as the middle school lead teacher and the K-12 Principal. The school was founded to serve missionary families who served both in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, but since its inception has come to include students from the international business community as well as local students.
Janine said goodbye to the school community in 2026 and is working with Wycliffe Canada while living in Calgary.
